Shomron joined Iterate in 2018 as a Machine Learning and Platform Engineer after graduating from Illinois Institute of Technology with a Masters in Compter Science (AI/ML). He started his professional career as a Software Engineer but soon found himself learning ML/AI and therefore switched his career to being a full Time Data Science professional. During his frist two years at Iterate, he lead multiple high profile projects for clients such as Jockey, Ulta, Central, PartyCity, Chanel, CircleK, PamperedChef etc. He created end-end solutions from scratch using state-of-the-art ML/AI techniques clubbed with software solution inside our low-code no-code platform, Interplay. He has also filed for 3 patents for his work on Interplay. Currently Shomron servers as a Head of Applied ML and Platform and leads teams in Silicon Valley and India to support different projects for various clients.

My most successful innovation work ...
Worked on a project in school, something similar to spotify but more text related where a user can give out few words that he/she likes and the AI model would then go back and suggest top 5 songs with highest ratings with those words in it. This way the user gets to pick what kind of lyrics he/she wants to listen to and then get recommendations based on ratings , genre, artists etc
An a-ha moment that changed my way of innovating was ...
Even though I graduated with a perfect GPA, it took me 8 months to find a job which was in a way the best 8 months of my life. It taught me to be patient, work hard and wait for it to come to you.
