Data: Real-time & Stored. From One Place.

Generate by Iterate.ai® and the AIPod® Mini sit between two universes: the live systems the company runs today, and the storage where years of records already sit. Neither one waits for the other.

What you'll learn
  • Why “connector” and “tool” are two words for the same thing, from an agent’s point of view
  • The two universes Generate reaches — live systems and stored records — and why both matter
  • How many systems Generate reaches today, on a list that keeps growing
  • Why more connections mean more to govern, not less
The idea

Most companies run two kinds of information: the live systems that answer a question right now, and the storage where years of records already sit — often so long that everyone forgot it was searchable at all.

Generate sits at the center of both. It queries what’s live and reads what’s stored the same way, treating the company’s own archives like a private web it can search — and its live systems like an ongoing conversation it can join. Knowledge that used to live in one department, one inbox, or one departed employee’s head becomes something the whole company can ask a question of.

Six ways in, one governance question

Each of these gives Generate a new way to reach a system, a document, or a playbook the team already has.

Direct database connections

MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, AWS Athena, Oracle DB, MariaDB — Generate queries the DB as an analyst would, without exporting a copy first.

Pre-built connectors

Airtable, Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, Confluence, Dropbox, GitHub, Gmail, and dozens more — each one a named app an agent can search, read, or act on directly.

Custom MCP

When a team needs a system that isn’t on the list, point Generate at any MCP server — a vendor’s or one built in-house — and it becomes callable the same way.

APIs

Any system with a REST API becomes callable directly, using the API’s own endpoints and credentials — no packaged connector required.

File uploads

Drop in PDFs, spreadsheets, or contracts and Generate indexes them for retrieval (RAG).

Skills — 280 and growing

Pre-built playbooks for common jobs — spanning legal, marketing, consulting, and more, plus any custom ones the team builds.

Connector vs. tool — the same thing from two angles
Connector

Icons on Generate’s connector list — Salesforce, S3, Snowflake, Azure, AWS. What a person picks when connecting a system to the AI.

Tool

What that connector looks like once an agent is running — a function it can call mid-task without asking a person to fetch anything first.

What connecting more systems changes. Every live connection is also an endpoint — a place where a prompt, a response, or a tool call can go wrong. Fewer, well-logged connections beat too many, or many loosely governed ones.

Private AI is the first line of that governance: AIPod Mini and Generate run models privately inside your infrastructure, behind your firewalls, on hardware you own — no sharing models or hardware with third parties or rivals.

Iterate.ai also offers AgentWatch — a separate tool that logs every tool call an agent makes, flags Shadow AI use of shared LLMs, and manages token budgets by team in case a team is using third-party, shared LLMs like Claude or GPT.
